I would like to express my thanks and appreciation to the President of the Republic and to the authorities, to my brother bishops, to you, dear priests, monks and nuns, and to all the citizens and believers of Malta and Gozo for the welcome and love with which you have shown me. This evening, after I have met many immigrant brothers and sisters, the hour has come to return to Rome, but I will carry with me many moments and words from these days. And a lot of gestures. Especially, I will keep many faces in my heart, and the enlightening face of Malta! I also thank those who worked hard to prepare for this visit, and I would like to extend a cordial greeting to the brothers and sisters of the various Christian denominations and religions with whom I have met these days.
